IP Litigation at the U.S. International Trade Commission (April, 2012)

Date:
Apr 30 2012

The Intellectual Property Section of the Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT) hosts a presentation on Intellectual Property Litigation at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) with Michael Doane.

Intellectual property litigation is hotter than ever, with a record-breaking number of complaints filed at the ITC last year alleging unfair practices in import trade under 19 U.S.C. § 1337. Even though Section 337 requires complainants to have a domestic industry, the USITC is also increasingly popular with foreign-based intellectual property owners, with almost half of the Section 337 cases last year filed by non-U.S. complainants.

Join WIIT for an in-depth discussion about this unique and powerful weapon against intellectual property infringement on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
