Mastriani and Okun to Present at 13th Annual Practitioners' Think Tank on ITC Litigation and Enforcement
ACI’s 13th Annual Practitioners’ Think Tank on ITC Litigation and Enforcement takes place July 27-28, 2021. This two-day event will cover key developments in trade secret litigation, public interest considerations, simultaneous proceedings at the ITC and PTAB, and changes of the past year and their effects on ITC practice and procedures.
Louis S. Mastriani, founding partner at AMS, will be on the panel called, “Evaluating the Implications of Trade Secret Jurisprudence at the ITC.” This panel will explore growing trends in and implications of trade secret investigations at the ITC under Section 337, the LG Chem trade secret case (337-TA-1159), spoliation of evidence, the Botox case (337-TA-1145), and analyzing injury in emerging industries. Other panelists include David C. Vondle, partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Pallavi Seth, principal at The Brattle Group; James Pooley, trade secrets litigator and expert witness at James Pooley PLC; and Wilhelm L. Rao, attorney at law and shareholder at McAndrews, Held & Malloy.
Deanna Tanner Okun, managing partner at AMS, will moderate a panel called, “Interview with ALJ: Insights on Procedures and Effective Trial Strategies.” She will interview The Honorable Mary Joan McNamara, administrative law judge at the ITC on topics including insights from the bench, the “ins and outs” of 337 Practice, differences between ITC and Federal District Court, and more.
