Regard Publishes CITBA Feature Article
AMS international trade and Customs attorney Elizabeth Duall Regard published a feature article in Customs and International Trade Bar Association (CITBA)’s summer newsletter titled, “Practicing International Trade Law in the Time of COVID-19: An update on Remote Work Procedures and Policies”. The article covered a summary of a spring webinar in which CITBA's International Trade subcommittee was invited to listen and discuss remote agencies and remote workplaces.
Katherine Hiner, Supervisory Attorney in the Office of the Secretary, Docket Services, at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and Evangeline Keenan, the Director of APO/Dockets Unit at the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), provided essential information to approximately 50 practitioners about the agencies' temporary procedures adopted to contend with the challenging circumstances presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar was moderated by AMS managing partner Deanna Tanner Okun.
Topics included the buildings’ physical closures, the ITC and DOC’s temporary policies, including changes to filings and hearings, as well as the permanence of these temporary policies.
